COMPOSERS

David Bessler

David started playing the violin at age 6 and at 21 produced his first record for a major label. After spending nearly 10 years as a copywriter in agencies like Wieden+Kennedy, DDB and TBWA, he came back to professional music in 2017 as a film composer and associate producer at Supersonica.

As a songwriter David has composed melodies and lyrics for mainstream Brazilian artists from several styles like Nando Reis (folk), Arlindo Cruz (samba), Marcelo Adnet (comedy), Di Ferrero (rock’n roll) and Gabriel, O Pensador (hip hop).

As a film composer he has worked in series like Apple TV+’s “The Me You Can’t See” and “The Line” and in films like Sony Picture Classics’ “Nine Days”, a Sundance winner feature written and directed by Edson Oda and executive produced by Spike Jonze.
